Mislabeled.com is the single destination for all things music and social networking.
Made up of a core team of artists, musicians, and idealists, Mislabeled is not just another community site. If they're a playground, we're building the theme park. Through unrivaled tool-sets, Mislabeled.com will be the first to finally create an organic, seamless relationship between the general community, artists, and venues.
Find out a little more information About Us
Located in Southern California, Mislabeled was founded in the summer of 2007 by a group of artists, musicians, and idealists. Mislabeled has set out to do two things:

1.) The first goal is to introduce new tools that are beyond what all the typical community sites offer. For instance, we believe you should be able to chat with friends and fans using MSN, ICQ, Gtalk, Yahoo, and AIM, all at the same time, all with one login, all in the browser... No downloads... No pop-ups. Also, when you share and listen to music, we think you should be able to browse the site without the music stopping until you tell it to. And there's no need to bail on your other community site accounts. Mislabeled promotes an open culture allowing you to manage them from your home page. It just makes sense.

2.) The second goal is to empower artists of all types with free tools that go beyond just creating exposure. Just like our general community tools, Mislabeled will give musicians, photographers, film-makers, authors, painters, and comedians the ability to automate their lives. Mislabeled recognizes the changes in the music industry, and believes that more than ever, artists deserve some support. To this end, Mislabeled will be rolling out all kinds of artist features. These will include ecommerce, fan base mapping, campaign management, tour builders, booking, legal, and even royalty compensation programs. Ultimately, Mislabeled is really all about supporting artists.

Recent Events
Check out a brief summary of various events we have been involved with over the last several months.
October 5-7, 2007 - Etnies Goofy vs. Regular Skate Competition (Etnies Skate Park, Southern California)
Etnies just hosted the annual GvR Skate event at their state of the art skate park in Lake Forest, CA. This year Mislabeled.com participated by having Guitar Hero battles and taking pre-registrations for the closed beta. The event was insane, as usual... From the pro skaters to the bands to the other partners that were there, Etnies definitely knows how to pull off an event. Check out more on the event at gvr.etnies.com
July 26, 2007 The Collective Sound (Mislabeled House, Southern California)
The Mislabeled House was a stop on this summer's Collective Sound tour. The student prodigies of The Collective Sound participated in a focus group for Mislabeled.com as they stuffed their faces with hot dogs and played video games (they're apparently great multitaskers). The Collective Sound is a great organization that nurtures tomorrow's creative innovators and leaders by developing music resources, programs and environments. Check them out at TheCollectiveSound.com
