1.) The first goal is to introduce new tools that are beyond what all the typical community sites offer. For instance, we believe you should be able to chat with friends and fans using MSN, ICQ, Gtalk, Yahoo, and AIM, all at the same time, all with one login, all in the browser... No downloads... No pop-ups. Also, when you share and listen to music, we think you should be able to browse the site without the music stopping until you tell it to. And there's no need to bail on your other community site accounts. Mislabeled promotes an open culture allowing you to manage them from your home page. It just makes sense.
2.) The second goal is to empower artists of all types with free tools that go beyond just creating exposure. Just like our general community tools, Mislabeled will give musicians, photographers, film-makers, authors, painters, and comedians the ability to automate their lives. Mislabeled recognizes the changes in the music industry, and believes that more than ever, artists deserve some support. To this end, Mislabeled will be rolling out all kinds of artist features. These will include ecommerce, fan base mapping, campaign management, tour builders, booking, legal, and even royalty compensation programs. Ultimately, Mislabeled is really all about supporting artists.
